Review 1 of 6

Price Paid:  $100.00 from eckerds

Summary:

The camera is a good camera. I like the quality of the pictures and it just what I need for what I use it for, which is just to take casual pictures on vacations and the like.

Strengths:

Option of *.tiff or *.jpg and quality settings.

Weaknesses:

The case as was mentioned before is too weak. The WORST customer service I HAVE EVER known. The included software causes Windows XP Pro to crash. So I went looking for an updated driver to download the pictures. Haven't found one that works. Samsung says the included program works and does not cause damage to OS's or Computers. If it is causing my computer to immediately shutdown, that can damage it.

Customer Service:

I am extremely disatisfied with customer support for this model. It is the ABSOLUTE worst. I would look into a different model.

Review 2 of 6

Price Paid:  $300.00 from HK

Summary:

Cheap price, noisely picture, should purcahse another brand

Strengths:

Cheap price, easily to change CF card

Weaknesses:

Very very much noise when taken under low luminosity, indoor, night. Operation difficult of menu, default set up when reboot again, when connect to computer by USB, no move disk display on computer, transfer software not good. Batteries are drained too quickly especially with LCD on, use 4pcs batteries not 2 batteries. Can’t change the exposure speed by user.

Review 5 of 6

Summary:

I bought this camera on special ($499 CDN/$325 US with a free Samsung web cam valued at $90 CDN) so it was pretty cheap. There's a decent zoom and a video mode (no sound, max 30 sec.). It is simple to use and it's good enough for a first camera.

Strengths:

Inexpensive. Simple to use.

Weaknesses:

Weak flash. A lot of noise in the pictures in low light. Drains batteries quickly. Gets really warm fast. Poor mac support. Useless user manual and web site.
