Review 1 of 17

Price Paid:  $240.00 from Sears

Summary:

I love it. I have a three mega pixal camera for the more serious work I do ( at the time it was tops as for pixal rating ), but for just shooting travel or documentation shoots this is it!!

Strengths:

I have droped this camera twice once from an extention ladder aabout twelve feet on to hard packed dirt and it servived!!!

Weaknesses:

no way to attach it to a tripod, Oh well. I have to watch it, it seems to reset some of the settings by itself ( could be I''m all thumbs ).

Customer Service:

never needed it!!

Review 3 of 17

Summary:

I've been using this camera for over a year and have yet to find another inexpensive camera that compares. There's a crack in the protective cover over the LCD, but that was my fault and it hasn't affected the operation of the camera at all. I bought 16MB card for it so now I can take 100+ pics before d/l'ing to the computer. Perfect camera for getting some pics posted online.

Strengths:

Great shots. Even takes decent shots in low light without the flash. The flash is super-bright. Almost too bright :)

Weaknesses:

A bit slow on taking the picture. You must stay very still or you can get a blurry pic.

Similar Products Used:

Used a friends Sony Mavica and wasn't impressed. It cost twice as much and the only thing it had over the Sanyo was the floppy, which isn't important for me.

Customer Service:

Haven't had to do this

Review 4 of 17

Summary:

I got a VPC-G250 for $124 on Egghead.com. It looks just like the VPC-X350 only does 640x480 resolution. I found this camera so useful I play with it more than I play with my computer. It definately does a great job. The only roblem I saw was it was pretty limited on printing a picture size to about 3 inches X 4 inches. The VPC-X350 gives same quality with a 5 inch x 7 inch print. The trade off turns out to be speed. It is a tad slower than the VPC-G250, which seemed to shoot and process fast (.5 seconds). At $159 at Egghead.com, I figure the greater picture size for when I need to put a picture in a news bulletin and the quality sequential and movie modes is nice to have and well worth the price of the camera. For most e-mail and web pictures though, I find I tend to use the smallere resolution VPC-G250 for its greater image storage capacticty and slightly faster processing time.

Strengths:

both: solid camera body, multiple modes with sound, very good picture quality, simple and easy to learn and use

Weaknesses:

I play so much with it I seem to waste a lot of time, and boy do I go through the batteries. Though they are only $3.50 each and will last for years I figure.

Similar Products Used:

only have used the Sanyo digital cameras .... I have not shot a single 35mm frame since I got the Sanyo cameras.

Customer Service:

I have not had the need to contact them. The Sanyo digitalcamera web site has been useful though.

Summary:

Ths product is very simple and easy to use. The software that comes with it is simple to set up, load it on the computer, put the serial thing in the back, hook the camera up and turn it on. You are ready to go. The options on the camera are easy to use. It may not be one megapixal, but it takes very good and highly detialed pictures at 1024x840. It has video and sound. The package was a good deal at 180 bucks.

Strengths:

simple and grood quality

Weaknesses:

none so far

Similar Products Used:
