Review 1 of 6

Price Paid:  $199.00 from Best-Buy

Summary:

All around, good "cheap" digital camera. I bought it just to "fool around" with. Always have a camera there for those shots you don't want to miss. Still doesn't top using a 35 mm in my eyes.

Strengths:

Digital. No more wasted film developing costs on those pictures that just didn't turn out. Inexpensive. Lots of special effects. I don't use the mpeg, or clip motion much. You can adjust ISO, make small email copies that don't take up mega storage space. It is small and portable.

Weaknesses:

Battery dies too fast. I DID NOT go out and purchase the battery pack, instead I just bought plain Ni-Cad rechargables, and always bring an extra set with me. The person who is using the Duracells is obviously using the wrong battery, as my rechargables last me for hours. The image quality is weak when using the zoom, so try not to. Comes with a small memory stick...So I spurged on a 32 mb stick. All in all I like the camera

Review 2 of 6

Price Paid:  $399.00 from dixons

Summary:

Nice camera, doesn't cost a lot, quality good, printed pictures in photostore are brilliant. I use 1800 mah Nimh battery's in it and they power the cam, with display on for more then one hour, when you close the display it takes more then one day to empty this battery's and the cost less then 5 dollars each. I have an extra set, so 4 batteries for 20 dollars, much cheaper then the recommended accu and the live much longer. I love this cam.

Strengths:

It does what it have to do, easy to use, very good macro, light, pictures are very clear. High speed loading, easy software.

Weaknesses:

Lens is not positioned in the middle, so you easy snap your finger on the picture.

not needed.

Summary:

This is an excellent starter camera. It takes excellent pictures, and is very easy to use. I did purchase an infolithium battery pack, which also included the charger and a nice battery case. The double a batterys should only be used as a backup

Review 5 of 6

Price Paid:  $400.00

Summary:

It''''''''s a very cheap quality camera. plastic shell. comes w/ 4Mb memory card. camera DRAINS BREAN NEW DURACELL BATTERY IN 5 MIN. If u look @ the spec. from sony, the camera uses two AA battery(supplied) or 3.6v InfoLITHIUMTM battery NP-FS11 (not supplied). so the camera is desigend to work with 3.6V but 2 AA battery will only give 3V. so my point is SONY is trying to sells u basic camrea, ready to use, don''''''''t need to buy extra EXPENSIVE sony accessory. but with 2 AA battery and a 4MB memory card u can take 20 low res. pic. in 5 min. after 5 about 5 min. the battery is drained. so if u really want to shoot more pic. u''''''''ll have to spend $169 for the SONY InfoLITHIUMTM battery NP-FS11 and AC Adapter ACLS1. that will last longer and another $99 for a 64MB memory card. Total comes to $619 + tax. or carry many AA battery and change every 5 min.

Strengths:

I find sony is very good @ marketing their garbage.

Weaknesses:

drains battery extreamly fast. long wait for flash to charge up.
