Strengths:    Great quality pictures outdoors with ample light. Very good movies. Easy to learn and use. Small enough for pockets.

Weaknesses:    Flash is offset to lens which creates shadows on right side of subject. Autofocus is slow to respond in lower light situations.

    Bottom Line:
Very easy to use, very little time needed to learn settings. Movies are very good and make it fun to use. A little disappointed with the auto focus at times, you must be patient in order to not have fuzzy pictures. Flash is not as good as some other cameras as it is offset from lens and you get shadows on the subjects right side.

Strengths:    Easy to use, easy to learn, great size and look.

Weaknesses:    have noticed that lighting is definately important to have and to use the cameras lighting mode features. Also as people noted previously, battery & memory stick capability is an issue, but be happy that this is not a battery hog.

    Bottom Line:
This is another great product by Sony. It is easy to handle and has great, easy to use functions. This camera was easy to learn at the basic level and my husband and I had even mastered the majority of extra features within a couple of hours. We love the fact that we can now take high quality pictures and short videos with such ease and fun. The camera is definately being used much more frequently now!

Strengths:    Good clear shots.. tried some shooting in total darkness and the shots still came out to be bright and clear.. thanks to the good flash and AF illuminator

Weaknesses:    - the device is too fragile in construction
    - Plastic body
    - instead of cheap 6 hours charger..they would have better provided a bigger memory stick of should have kept and option to swap the charger for a better at the time of purchase by paying extra $$$

    Bottom Line:
just bought this cam yesterday for 1350 Saudi Riyals including the orignal sony carry case with 3yr international warranty out of which one year is replacement warranty that mean with in one year, amny malunfunction to the device will no be repaired.. instead i will be given a new factory piece and offcourse with all of its own warranties...not at all a bad deal

1350 saudi riyals = $360 US Dollar.. well may sound expensive for residents for US but then also remember that value of dollar is fixed in saudi arabis to converting the rate directed is not that accurate way to determine weher it was expensive or cheap.. instead use other curreny like Euro to make comparison..

Strengths:    Easy to use, Clean and vibrant life like pictures, sturdy and extremely good looking.

Weaknesses:    Blacks and dark browns are often fuzzy. Horrible software.

    Bottom Line:
The greatest camera in its range is this awesom, superbly looking camera by Sony. The design of this camera is extremely well done. The image quality is excellent, but make sure u take pictures in full even light. The functionality of this camera is awesom, very easy to use--> the toggle switch. Picture quality ive found to be dependant on the surrounding environment, meaning one picture can be extremely amazing in terms of quality and the other can be fuzzy and gloomy. Be sure to take pictures in full and evenly distributed light, ive found that my pictures turn fuzzy when a shadow is present in the room. Horrible software and drivers, i suggest buying a photo printer or card reader since it makes transfering so much easier. All in all a great and excellent camera by Sony.

Strengths:    Small body, good pictures, nice zoom and overall good features

Weaknesses:    software isn't that great, battery life is crummy, and it comes with a measly 16MB memory stick.

    Bottom Line:
Great Camera. Easy to use and takes clear pictures.
