Price Paid:  $300.00 from Rics

Summary:
The CL50 is my first Digital Camera. I love photography and I am very picky about quality. I couldn''t afford an expensive camera and my father had purchased this same one and I grew fond of it. What I discovered is, if you put a little effort into the lighting of your shot then you will get sharp quality. My favorite lighting is of course a sunny day with just a little cloud cover, this even works indoors. I like to set my pictures of my daughter up by the window for a sharp image. When I show others my pictures printed on the Epson Photo 700 they think I had them professionally done. Of course I would love to have a Nikon 5000 but for the money I am very satisfied with this camera. Agfa doesn''t get enough credit for their quality.

Strengths:
Taken with natural lighting it has superb quality

Weaknesses:
Distant Shots or group photos.

Summary:
Great features and quality images. The manual settings are great, but I wish there was a wider range of adjustments. If you want a camera that is easy to use with good picture quality, this is the one to get.

Strengths:
This camera has very good picture quality, is very easy to use and is loaded with features. Love the 2" LCD with "SunCatcher".

Weaknesses:
The unit is rather thick in the middle and is awkward to hold. I almost dropped it several times, so use the wrist strap. There isn't many accessories (such as lens adapters) available for the CL50. The flash eats up the batteries fast.

Customer Service:
No problems yet.

Review 3 of 17

Summary:
I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a good all around camera. The pluses out weigh the minuses by far. I have been using this for documenting a sun room that I'm building and its been just great looking at the progress. The software that comes with the camera is nice for downloading from the camera to the hard drive and there are several options that are nice, it puts the images in a dir. by that days date (by default) and then if you select, it then deletes the images from the camera.

Strengths:
Very simple to use. Auto focus that has not let me down yet. Macro setting that lets you really get close up. The 2 pictures per second is great fun for action shots.

Weaknesses:
Hard to hold as there are buttons everywhere that you would like to put your fingers. File size is a bit big but the resolution is great so its kind of a wash.

Similar Products Used:
Sony Mavica. No macro, images aren't at the same resolution.

Review 4 of 17

Summary:
I used the AGFA CL50 for aproximately 1 year. This was hte first digital camera I have ever picked upa nd was now assigned the task of shooting all the images for our upcoming 64 page catalog. Along with this enormous task I was asked to develp a library of our products. Our product line consists of over 3000 products. Of that I shot about 1500 images. I quikly adapted to the ease of use and freindly options that the camera offered.

Strengths:
compact lightweight features such as adjustable white point, lighting adjuster, and voice recorder

Weaknesses:
Low resolution. There is definately an improvement over the cl30 but this needs improvement. The serial cable was fragile at the tip and breaks easy.

Similar Products Used:
CL30

Customer Service:
Limited dealing except to order a replacement camera when the serial cable broke. Very quick and helpful
