$499.00 Summary: (Price above Australian Dollars) I wasn't too sure if a 1.3 megapixel camera would be much good but I'm glad to say I couldn't have been more wrong! Great picture quality, nice night shots with slow synchro mode but with flash is not as good for the background (as long as subject is still). Also has a panoramic mode where you take one pic which it displays on the LCD, then snap a second trying to get them to join, then use software provided to join them. Not useful for me but maybe some would find it useful... Still, for day, indoor & most night shots this thing is great for the casual photographer (or anyone else), really nice price too! Strengths: Great picture quality, prints on photopaper at the Kodak shop seem same quality as normal 35mm developed film. Nice manual controls (ISO, exposure, flash modes, effects & more) AVI movie mode has nice 15fps 320x200 about 14secs. Sturdy build, looks nice, software is fine. The strengths *WAY* outweigh the minor problems. Weaknesses: Battery life - went through alkaline AA's in 20 mins (LCD, Flash), but works fine with 1700mAh Ni-MH (about 2.5-3x longer). ISO 400 manual night shots w/flash are grainy, no audio with video. Will generally choose a really low ISO if left to auto so need to have a steady hand for taking pics :) Maybe the USB cover could be a bit sturdier but otherwise solid build.
