    Review 1 of 11

Price Paid:  $450.00 from Jorge Seco (Cascaish

    Summary:
Honestly, I'm not attracted to these "point & shoot" digital cameras. I've got an A10 for over a year and it's basically new. I got it so that I could use it as a point&shoot without purchasing films, but it spends most of its time on a shelf (I prefer my film point&shoot a thousand times). Though, if you're searching for a medium quality and low sized digital camera to take pictures of parties with friends, summer vacations and stuff like that, go for this one. It is small and produces farely nice colors. If you want *anything* more than this, think twice before getting a point&shoot digital camera. Personally, I love playing with film (cross processing is a wonder world) and this is not my camera. Right now, i use it more as a quick-cam... you know, I don't have a webcam, so when anyone asks me to see something over the internet, i take a quick picture with my A10 and send it.

    Strengths:
    - optical zoom - light and small - user friendly - usb - panoramic photography option

    Weaknesses:
    - the batteries don't last one hour if you use the screen - i don't like to use it... personal opinion, i guess (so that's why i'm putting up for sale) - for the price paid, one could get a much much much better film camera

    Review 2 of 11

    Price Paid:  $186.00 from Walmart

    Summary:
This is my first digital camera. I expected somewhat grainy, semi poor image quality from an inexpensive digital camera, but was blown away by the images this camera produces. We have a decent quality point and shoot film camera that doesn''t come close (is now for sale), and the 35mm slr is not as portable. I had no problems with the software under win98se. If you do not already have a photo editing suite, the one packaged with this camera is easy to use, user friendly, and fairly powerful.

    Strengths:
Very good picture quality for 1.3 mp. Auto mode - point and shoot actually works. Good value for the money - team squeak approved. Good software package. Plus all the advantages of the digital medium.

    Weaknesses:
Battery hog - get some NiMh rechargeables.

    Review 3 of 11

Price Paid:  $119.00 from Circuit City

    Summary:
I have been looking at Canon G2 and S40 for a while. When I walked in a local Circuit City with my girl friend, we saw a A10 demo on sale for $119. We just bought it for the fun of it, and we did not expect that we have so much fun with it. The best camera for the money.

    Strengths:
Compact size. Very good menu. Sharp pictures with good color. 3X optical zoom. Good software that came with the camera.

    Weaknesses:
No 800x600 settings. Needs to have a set of rechargable batteries.

    Similar Products Used:
    Olympus, Nikon, Sony,

    Review 4 of 11

Price Paid:  $220.00 from on line

    Summary:
This is a great camera to get if you are just getting into digtal photography. It''s easier to use than most others I''ve tried, gives good looking pictures, and has a very fast response time between shots. You''ll have to spend a little extra for some rechargable batteries & a larger memory card but then you''re set.

    Strengths:
Good pix quality for a 1.3 meg, very easy controls to master, quick USB downloads

    Weaknesses:
Poor low light response, short flash range

    Customer Service:
I had a little trouble getting the drivers loaded for the USB but the Canon Service rep was very much on the ball & got me going in about 30 seconds.

    Review 5 of 11

    Price Paid:  $177.00 from buydig.com

    Summary:
This is a great camera, I looked at other cameras with the same resolution and the only thing coming close to it was the Sony DSC-P30 and that was 100 bucks more! It''s got everything I want with nothing that I don''t need. Will definitely stick with Canon in the future.

    Strengths:
    Price, color saturation, user-friendliness.

    Weaknesses:
    None
