Summary:

I bought this camer a few years ago, the only problems thatI have had with it is when the battory gets low the photos will be blury. I have had many great photos with this camera and the print quality is great.

Strengths:

Very Nice photos for the price

Weaknesses:

needs too give a better low battery warning

Summary:

Excellent little camera for someone who doesn't want the hassle of manual controls. I've used mine over 2 years now to compliment my Canon SLR and have not been disappointed. The video is not excellent but it is acceptable for its price when used with at least a memory card of at least 256mb. Also as with other digital cameras, low light can be a problem if you are out of the range of its auto flash. I just purchased another digital, a Canon S3, and I think my little Kodak DX4530 will outshoot it in picture quality and detail. For the price I don't think you will be disappointed.

Summary:

The Kodak EasyShare DX4530 is a terrible camera. For a long while I thought that I was doing something wrong. Now I realize that the camera is simply junk. I regret purchasing it and I wish that I had returned it within the timeframe where the store would accept a return. Now I'm stuck with this camera and can hardly take one single decent photo without a tripod. I can't begin to tell of the precious family moments and business related photos that have been lost due to the poor quality of this camera. I'll never buy Kodak again -- this camera should not have been released to the public.

Strengths:

When pictures do turn out (which is rare), they look pretty good.

Weaknesses:

Cannot take a decent photo unless the subject is completely still and in natural sunlight.

Summary:

Just bought the camera. Thought you could only use the Kodak Easyshare software to transfer photos. Not true! You can go into device manager and update drivers and change to digital still and you can use the XP scanner and camera wizard or any other software you have for photos. I found the camera very simple to use, and the photos were very clear.

Strengths:

Kodak is still compatible with upgraded operating systems.

Weaknesses:

The only thing I would change is thetroubleshooting needed to set camera up for other programs. Even with this, I would still recommend this camera to anyone who needs a deacent camera and a fairly low price.

Summary:

I LOVE THIS CAMERA!!! This is my first digital camera and I was a little skeptical about the whole experience. I took this camera on a recent vacation and shot 170 pictures outdoors, indoors, in the shade, in the sun, daytime and night time. Of the 170 pictures I shot, 163 were useable. This camera is super easy to use and takes awesome photos. I've blown up quite a few of the pictures to 8x10 and the detail is crystal clear. Using a 256 MB memory card, that was purchased separately, I can take up to 220 pictures at the best quality setting. The best benefit of using a memory card is that I can plug the card directly into my photo printer and bypass a computer altogether. I am not anywhere close to being a "real" photographer but I definitely wanted pictures that were as good as I got from my 35 mm SLR and this camera sure delivers.

Strengths:

Ease of use. Picture quality. Not too big but not too small.

Weaknesses:

Some people seem to think the lens cap is annoying but I haven't had any problems.
