Strength:

Images were nice.

Weakness:

Unreliable.

The camera provided very good pictures, when it worked. After six months of use the lens got stuck and I was not able to use it. Kodak provided a refurbished camera, which also got the same problem; the lens got stuck. This is very disappointing. I won't buy any Kodak product again.

Customer Service

Customer service was very poor. They gave me contradictory information about how to get my camera repaired. Later, they could not repair it and gave me a refurbished camera. I did not pay that amount of money to get a used camera.

Strength:

Easy to use, docking solution, metal body.

Weakness:

Unreliable

This camera was good--while it lasted. After a little more than a year, it failed, kind of like the shutter was stuck shut, unless every photo was of a black bear at night. Kodak wanted way too much to fix it, about $150. Apparently this is a common failure mode.

Customer Service

Camera was older than a year old, so that was that. I have a six year old Ricoh digital camera that still works fine, and Canon's seem to be very solid. Advise that purchasers of Kodak cameras strongly consider an extended warranty.

Strength:

Once the software is set up, it is so easy a trained monkey could take good pictures and download them to the computer.

Weakness:

For boasting a 4 mega pixel output it sucks!... If they boasted a 2.3 @ MAX mega pixel then I would say bravo! But they said 4 mega pixels and didn't deliver the crisp clarity as expected. I believe the problem lies within the Jpeg digital compression format. Maybe if it were a TIG, or a TGA it would be better quality.

It is a nifty little camera package that delivers a slightly sub standard performance than what it boasts, but produces a satisfying quality in photo production in comparison to other digital cameras.

Customer Service

Well I don't know to be honest. I had not had to deal with customer service. But if this question is talking about Customer value then it is decent.

Strength:

video mode with sound!! great zoom being able to shut off the preview extensive manual settings small enough to carry around all the time! diffrent auto modes - makes it easy when wanting to take a quick picture easy to get around menus buildt in memory

Weakness:

the buildt in memory is only 16mb - a card is a must with the size a large image can take up it doesn't re-orientate videos when using portrait view like it does for photos battery indicator doesn't show enough bars turns on most of the time when I put it into a camera case

This camera truely has everything I could ever want in a camera and more!! I can't express how excited I was when I first got the camera and started testing the modes and settings... Being a Kodak fan(previously had the DC210Zoom) I needed a camera that was going to give me the same color quality, the same aspect ratio that a film camera would give me(unlike many digital cameras out there - this means no cropping when using online photo printing) The video mode quite surprised me as many reviews made it look really bad, but if you move slow when going to diffrent brigtness it will adjust, plus it is more pleasing to watch for a user anyway. I love the manual settings though the auto works great in almost any conditions!! Battery life is excellent and purchasing the charger that came with an extra battery was a good move so now I never worry about running out of battery life, just memory! Though having the buildt in memory it gives a little breathing room should you max out your card!! This camera is the only one I know of that does videos with sound and the leingth is as long as the memory you have available (I have taken an 8minute video - it came out great)!!

Strength:

Ease of use. Flexability Docking station Size Price Video with sound. Metal body Share software not complicated ( My Canon printer software has all the fancy bells and whistles I need to print, make cards, special effects, etc...).

Weakness:

None so far.

I've had the camara for 1 week. All the pictures I've taken so far have been excellent. I've taken pictures at all three resolution levels. The lowest looks good. The highest resolution is outstanding. I have no complaints about this camara so far. The only complaint I have is not about the camara, but the fact that Kodak chose to make their best camara in Easy Share series incompatible with the printer docking station. Will post again after a little more use.

Customer Service

Not needed so far.
