from Arabia Summary: I own a Sony Dsc-707 and a Panasonic FZ-20, the Casio P-600 is an outstanding photographic machine. It has replaced the Olympus Stylus Epic I used as a pocket camera because of its extremely sharp pictures and features. I have found no problems at all with noise and the flash has been accurate and useful at short ranges. Strengths: You get excellent pictures using the dummy mode, but you have enormous power and flexibility should you desire. Autofocus extremely fast and accurate and almost zero shutter lag. How sharp is it?
I used focusmagic to measure the the out of focus blur, it was only one pixel wide - amazing! Weaknesses: Not really, but one must remember to install the Casio software - which is excellent - in order to load pictures to your computer. The LCD screen is large but difficult to see in extremely bright sunlight. Since I live in Arabia, that is the only kind of sunlight that there is. Fortunately the optical viewfind is large, bright, and accurate. Similar Products Used: Sony Dsc-707 (Wonderful camera) and Panasonic FZ-20 (Especially wonderful for long telephoto shots and external flash shots.) Customer Service: No experience. Knock on wood.
