$0.00 Summary: I have three Fuji cameras and I loved the picture quality and portability BUT the company has been selling cameras (F700) with defective parts and NOT standing behind their products. I have had TWO Fuji F700's and both went bad with the exact same problem: I got a fuzzy gray screen adn was unable to take pictures. One was under a year old and the other was just over a year old. I paid over $130.00 to have the first one repaired because I liked the camera. When the same thing happened to the second camera, I went on line and found out there was a known defect with teh camera causing the exact same problem BOTH of mine had. I paid nearly $600.00 to purchase the two cameras and the repairs on one of them. When I discovered that it was a defective part I asked that they repair the camera at no charge, including documentation of the on line policy for repairing defective cameras. THEY REFUSED AND WANTE TO CHARGE $149.00 plus tax for repair. Their product DOES NOT hold up and their company DOES NOT stand behind their product.
I will never purchase another FUJI product after the way they handled me. I WAS a good customer and referred many people to purchase the camera I had, only to find out it had a life expectancy of under 1.5 years and it cost more to repair than I can buy a NEW Kodak, canon or Nikon for. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY FUJI PRODUCTS. Strengths: Photo quality was good but the two cameras lasted less than an year and had a defect the company was aware of yet they wouldn't replace. Weaknesses: Defective products (See web searches for Fuji FinePix problems and you will get a good idea of how many dissatisfied customers they have. ) Similar Products Used: Olympus Stylus Customer Service: STINKS! they know the camera is defective as outlined in the web pages about FUJI FINE PIX PRODUCTS yet the CHARGE for repairs. Customer service STINKS! They were rude and not helpful.
