Looks pretty

Weakness:

The whole camera. Would not recommend

I too bought this camera. Within months it started acting up and going blank during trying to take pictures. It works one minute and goes blank. This is one of the worst cameras I ever owned.

Customer Service

Strength:

Looks good. Packages and advertised very well. Features when read will entice your impulse but beware my firend!

Weakness:

Many including the warranty repair services!

I purchase the Canon Power Shot A630 over the internet. I liked the features specially with the ability to flip the LCD fro protection from scratches. I liked that it used regular batteriies and not the expensive kind. Problem is I was only able to take a few pictures before the camera broke. It stopped taking images and instead gave blank (black) images. I immediately shipped the camera to Canon for repair. They turned it around in ten days. One month later Iafter sitting in my closet I was again taking pictures why vacationing in the islands. While in the middle of taking pictures this camera again stopped capturing images and instead gave only blank images. Once I returned from my trip I again sent this camera back to Canon. This time they would not repair my camera unless I paid them $100.00 dollars. They calimed that there was a foreign substance on my camera that could possibly cause this failure. I know that when the camera was in my possession that is was well cared for and that nothing was ever spilled nor came into contact with my camera. I didn't pay for the service because I know in my heart this was either a design inherited flaw or I ended up with a lemon. Canon was more then happy to take the camera off my hands which I did not let them do. I will not buy from Canon again!

Customer Service

Very poor! Never buy from Canon again. I'm stuck with a $260.00 dollar leamon. Will consider Sony in the future.
