Strength:

Night photos
Clear Snap shots.
Excellent video

Weakness:

AF beam located in a bad spot and can be blocked while holding camera at base of lens
Under some lighting situations you have to fight some of the auto features.
Photos other than night shots not as clear as Nicon or Canon in the same price range.
Focus is awkward in video mode
Hard to find replacement lens caps

Best camera for a first time DSLR user out of the box.
Auto mode setting and features provide very good pictures and allow room for experimentation.
