from Kwick Print Summary: A very poor performance from a budget product. You get what you pay for is the lesson learned. Strengths: Large enough screen, optical zoom, cheap to buy. Weaknesses: Although the camera boast many features, not many of them are actually worth the effort to use. On "automatic" the camera is next to useless if you are expecting to take a photograph of anything quicker than a tortoise. Don't expect the auto white balance to give you two consecutive pictures that actually look like they have been shot on the same day (never mind the same minute). Auto focus (you have no choice but to use auto focus) takes an eternity to capture a sharp image. The macro facility is not worth the bother either and I have never been able to take a close up photograph in almost a year of using this camera. Other settings include, "Portrait Man, capture a man and blur out the background" and the next setting. . . "Portrait lady, Capture a lady and blur out the background"
Is there really a difference? Not to the end result. Other settings include "sports" "landscapes" "splashing water" Flowing water" "fireworks" and "snow". None of them work.
In almost a year I have not been able to produce a single photograph with this camera that I have been satisfied with. I would rather use the 1 mp camera on my mobile phone. Similar Products Used: Samsung ES17, Canon power shot A470
