Strengths: large memoryWeaknesses: you name itBottom Line: This camera is the worst camera I have ever used. It eats up battery power (even with rechargeable NiMH batteries, I can only get about 10 pictures out of it). The flash takes about 8 seconds to charge per shot, making quick snaps nearly impossible. Half of the settings do not work the way that they should and to be honest, I have only used the camera a few times in the months since I purchased it because it is simply more trouble and hassle than it is worth. Don't buy this camera.

Strengths: Still image quality, size of camera body, LCD size, flexible shooting modes are available.Weaknesses: Befuddling user interface (camera menus), miniscule viewfinder hole, too easy to turn on by accident when in your pocket, camera comes with crappy software (I'm a developer, I REALLY know what I'm talking about here.) Auto-exposure system fooled far more often than my Canon's.Bottom Line: This camera is a study in trade-offs. Image quality seems fine, though the auto-exposure programming seems to be too easily fooled. I am actually returning the camera for a refund and will probably instead purchase a newer, higher-resolution Canon Digital Elph (I love my old one but want improved image quality.) I'm spoiled by Canon quality and usability - this camera seems at first glance to be a great buy, but is just not what I'm looking for. I just don't like it.

Strengths: The vivicam takes great pictures that I have made up to size 8x10, it may go larger, but that is all my printer can handle.
It turns on faster than my old Olympus.
It is easy to learn how to use.
It has a feature that takes three pictures with one depress of the shutter; it adjusts the f-stop up one step and down one step. It is called AEB. Automatic Exposure Burst. Then you can pick the one you like the best.
Takes great macro photos.Weaknesses: It eats up batteries, but just buy eight AA's and a charger and rotate 4 at a time. Or, if inside, use a power cord(not supplied).
Some pictures are grainy if the zoom is too high. Operator Error probably.
I have to sometimes zoom in and out to get the right focus.
Bottom Line: It actually came with 32mb, much better than the 16mb it says. It has several features I wanted:
12x zoom
8mb
small size but not too small, slightly larger than a pack of 100mm cigarettes
good price
