Strengths:    External mode selection dial.
Integrated flash.
Silent focusing 2nd generation 14-42mm lens.
Beautiful design with favorable ergonomics making it easy to hold.
Great value for price segment.

Weaknesses:    Only 720p video capture.
Somewhat slower focus performance with 40 -150mm zoom kit lens.
Average battery life.

Bottom Line:
An elegantly styled micro four thirds interchangeable lens camera that produces high quality images. I've used this camera for over 2 weeks and can't say anything really negative about it. Although the poorer performance in lower light conditions at higher ISO (6400 +) is obvious, should we really expect anything other within this more than reasonable price range?
The next generation 14-42mm kit lens compliments the camera very well. The focusing is now silent during video capture.
I purchased a kit including the 14-42mm and 40-150mm lenses.

Similar Products Used:   While the NEX-5 produces great images and has superior video, I switched to the E-PL2 for the following reasons:

Lack of integrated flash.
Lack of external mode selection dial.
Expensive lens options (200mm zoom priced at almost $1000).
