    Summary:
We have been using the EyeLike system for the past two years. We bought the back when it first cameout before the Mulifunction upgrade with the understanding that we would get or hands on one of the first MF backs to comeout. It took sometime before we got it back after we had shipped it for the up grade but they did send us a loaner in the mean time. I love the system. we tried the Lightphase and were impressed with it but the Lightphase didn''t hold a candle to the 16 shot scan. the images are very sharp and every day I''m suprised at the detail I see in the images that I don''t always catch with my eyes. They are know making the back with firewire so I hear. We have the Fiber optics connection and haven''t had much of a problem with it. The power connection is a DIM connection that does seem to keep working eventhough it seems to get loose. The system has a foil stack that adjusts the focal plane of the EyeLike perfect to the Camera that it is attached to.(one system) This process takes sometime at first, but is well worth it. The interface is alittle more to it than the Lightphase but I like that it doesn''t do all the thinking for me. I have control!

    Strengths:
1)Little shadow noise in the single shot 2)1 shot(18mb), 4 shot(18mb),16 shot(72mb or 144-16bit) 3)Very consistant color from day to day 4)Fast data transfer through the Fiber optics 5)Sharp without sharpimg built into the software

    Weaknesses:
1)Fiber optics need to have the "EYELIKE TO GO" an extra part to buy. 2)500mb of ram to run the software 3)gallieries can easily be over shot and be hard to store on a cd (now with dvd this might not be a problem

    Customer Service:
We feel that the customer service is good. I think that it''s a good Idea that you let them know who you are so they can deal with you personally Thomas Meyer in New York has been a great help.
