Strengths:    Superior print quality, large bright focus screen, long lasting Li-ion battery, build quality second to none.

Weaknesses:    Lack of pertinent info like shutter speed, and aperture not recorded on digital back.

Bottom Line:
Yes, The Christian dude is out of his mind. I have been shooting Nikon digital for over 5 years now since switching from film. While I've had good results, I still wasn't happy with the quality of prints especially at large sizes from 16X20 and up. I bought the 503CWD just a few months ago and upon printing my first print was absolutely floored! Colors are spot on, and the tight resolution amazing. This camera has 12 stops of dynamic range and you'll see it right away with gorgeous gradations in both black and white, and color. The Flexcolor and Phocus software that comes with it is easy and powerful. My only complaint as to why I rate it a 4 is only due to the lack of information that's recorded by the digital back. Histogram and ISO is pretty much all you get as far as really useful information. But the photo quality is a 5- hands down. Your prints will look like they were shot with high quality film. The sensor is 50 percent larger than the best digital SLR's and has large pixel sites, thus the recording of light and color is phenomenal.
If your looking for amazing photo quality, and a build that will last longer than you, then buy this Hasselblad. Do what I did; read as much as you can about the camera and purchase very informed. Also, Hasselblad USA's customer support is superb. They answered all my questions, and a live person answers the phone. They have your back and no other camera company comes close to this kind of service-period.

Please don't listen to Cristian! Iv been using this camera since December 07 and i have to say that at first I wasn't sure about it. I loved the idea but just wasn't sure about its practicality. However after using it for many different shoots and situations my view has completely changed! this camera is like a classic car that has been re-built with all new parts! you just love using it! it gets under you skin!

All in all..
If your looking for a camera with heritage that is always there when you need it, a camera with unbeatable quality, amazing build quality, this is your baby!

Bottom Line:
I bought this camera as my intro into the Digital Medium format category. It is a Hasselblad at an amazing price, what could beat that? Practically everything out there can.

My experience has been awfull. The digital back fails to meet up to expectations, I have shot with other digital backs since and the capture quality is mediocre at best. It constantly fails and I have had to re-install the firmware. I have had to do it now four times since I purchased it earlier this year. The grain/noise in the dark areas is unavoidable even shooting at mid day if you set the iso any higher than 100. Dots as big as golf balls.

Stay away from this product unless you are looking to be disappointed.
