Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $60.00 from Best Buy

Summary:

This product is horrible. I have never had so much trouble with one piece of hardware. Installation on my windows 98 system took hours. I had contacted technical support because most of the files that the hardware was searching for was not even on the disk! Then to top it off once everything was installed, I downloaded the pictures to the computer and the quality was just disgusting. Too bright and lots of green. I shouldve expeceted something like this from Ezonics. Most reviews I have read are negative but I thought I would have given them a chance but I thought wrong. If you want a real web camera buy from Intel or some other good well known brand name. If you want to waste your hard earned money then buy from Ezonics.

Strengths:

None

Weaknesses:

Flimsy Camera Quality of pictures horrendous Software installation a pain in the rear

Review 3 of 3

Summary:

This camera is a joke. The software and camera itself either work or don't work. Don't bother calling for help in their tech support I was on hold for 35 minutes before I hung up and sent the thing back. Warning once opened many stores won't take it back unless broken and Ezonics tells you to return it to the store for a new one or your money back. The tech support also tend to get easily frustrated with customers especially the more non computer literate. The camera I had didn't focus well and again the software seemed to reject the camera. I never seem or been able so poorly in my life. Truly not a customer focused company. They say there market is the under $100 but all their cameras are just at or over unless used. I highly recommend spending a few bucks more for another. I like the dual purpose of reqular and PC camera but still for the price hassel, and frustration it's not worth it. I bought a couple for others in my family and of the 5 3 had to be returned for not working properly 1 was used to practice golf and the other worked fine but for it being hard to focus.

Strengths:

can be used as a PC camera and taken with you and used like a regular camera and holds like 38 pictures or so.

Weaknesses:

pretty much everything else

Similar Products Used:

Intel and IBm PC cameras I ended up sticking with the Intel. Been happier ever since I went back I'll never leave again at least not for this or it's cousins.

Customer Service:

Poor on a good day sit and wait sit and wait then wait for them to call back and if it's 5:25 forget it noone seems to answer.
