Price Paid: $200.00 from FUTURE SHOP

Summary:

ITS GREAT CAM, I HAVE THE POCKET CAM, IT STALLS SO GET THE UPDATES FROM INTEL, WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS WHEN IT SAYS APPLICATION IS OPEN- ON ME>>double click on my computer drop down menu, go to properties tab over to device manager click on yellow question mark intel driver then click on re-move. close it up and then re-connect cam, if nothing happens, then go to control panel and search for new hardware, click on it then it will for search for new drivers.!!!!!

Strengths:

cheap but good quality- stable software with updates

Weaknesses:

hangs all the time if you dont close properly, just uplug cam then re-plug in 30 seconds later , usally works!!!MY CD INSTALL SOFTWARE CRACKED *&&*^(!!! COULDNT GET NEW ONE WITHOUT SENDING AWAY FOR ONE BUT I FOUND A PLACE TO DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE, SHAW CABLE MUST HAVE BEEN HAVING A PROMOTION SIGN UP AND RECEIVE FREE INTEL CAM, WELL INTEL SENT WRONG SOFTWARE SO SHAW POSTED INTEL CREATE & SHARE ON THE WEB DOWNLOAD WHILE YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!! intel s update site is great also has auto-mated e-mail help what more could you ask for!!!!!(so when you go to intel site and it asks to fill out survey say yes, use your real e-mail and they will have a auto wizard respond cool ....eh!!!

Summary:

GREAT SOFTWARE THE CAMERA WORKS GREAT AND I LOVE THE INTERACTIVE GAMES,THE PHOTO SOFTWARE IS TOP NOTCH FOR THIS TYPE OF CAMEREA,THE ONLINE PHONE CALLS CUT OUT AND ARE NOT VERY GOOD QUALITY WHEN USING A 56K MODEM I READ THAT A DSL OR CABLE MODEM WORKS MUCH BETTER BUT I DON'T SEE USING THE PHONE OPTION IN THE NEAR FUTURE,WORKS GREAT WITH THE MEDIA BRIDGE SOFTWARE BEING REVIEWED IN POPULAR SCIENCE

Summary:

i like this little camera very much, it takes up little space sitting nicely on my monitor. it was quite easy 2 setup and takes good snapshots and video for it's price (esp as i got it for S&H only thru digimarc). the software is not particular intuitive but it does a lot and a tour is included to help use camera.

Strengths:

small size, good quality video

Weaknesses:

no mic, software unintuitive

Summary:

This camera is outstanding for users who would like to keep in touch with friends and relatives via video conferencing. The price is very modest, way under $100, and the quality is of a much more expensive unit. The color saturation is fine as well as the sharpness, all can be adjusted with the create and share software that comes with the cam pak. Speaking of it also includes interactive camera games from Fussion tech, they are very unique and fun to play. this camera also features a "snapshot" feature in which enables the user to take still images and upload them. I can't think of any thing negative about this camera, i do feel it is way under priced. the software alone is worh the money,as well as all the 1200 clip art images you receive as well.

Strengths:

It has very sharp adjustable capabilities, very user friendly as well it is a joy to use as a video phone, software is outstanding!

Weaknesses:

Only coplaint I have is that intels website for this camera does not offer a user to user base,like netmeeting does.

I had a big problem enabling the image when first installed, I had to call intels tech support. They were very easy to talk to and remidied the problem immediatly which was a via tech hub controller for usb, I needed a usb filter.After that and 6 months later no problems.

Summary:

I have used this camera to take photos and record videos on my pc. I have emailed both of these to family and friends directly from the software included with the camera. I would recommend this product to anyone interested in purchasing a web cam.

Strengths:

Ease of use Good software included Easy installation of both software and hardware.

Weaknesses:

Not very good in low light situations. The fact it has a USB connection makes it difficult if a person doesn't have this capabability on their computer.

I needed to update drivers for my system, and their web page directed me to the appropriate area without any "run around" like some web sites do.
