Weaknesses:

can't take pics when pitch dark, no preview window [eats batteries, so igeuss we don't need it!]

Review 2 of 6

Price Paid:  $35.00 from 2001

Summary:

I bought this cam in second-hand market for very low price. It's pretty good for a second camera and without worrying to break it anytime anywhere. Picture quality is good if light is enough and the object you take is big enough.

Strengths:

Good price. Good software support. Good build-in quality. I've droped it while climbing a hill, it falled about 3 meters and to my suprise it still works good.

Weaknesses:

The jpeg compress is too aggressive. In fact 8M memory is quite enough for storing better quality pictures. I can store about 130 pics now but I wish if the jpeg is not compressing too much, maybe storing only 50 pics is enough. Not able to manual focus.

Review 3 of 6

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Circuit City

Summary:

We got the camera as a freebie in a computer bundle. I have an SLR film camera and have been looking at digital cameras in the two to three megapixel range but have been put off by the high prices. I never would have considered this camera had it not been free. I''''ve gotten over my camera snobbery, though. I''''ve been using the Intel for several months and having a blast. It''''s so portable that I take it places I''''d never take a quality film or digital camera. (I am a road cyclist and have done some shooting while riding...try that with a fancy SLR or digital rig.) Quality is fine for web posts. This camera would be great to get a price sensitive person off the sidelines and into digital photography. It also would make a great second camera. Take it anywhere and toss it to the kids. You''''ll love it.

Strengths:

Extremely portable Easy to use Plenty of memory Doubles as a web cam

Weaknesses:

Low resolution (but what were you expecting at this price) Can "wash out" in very bright sunlight No flash

none

Customer Service:

have not needed any
