Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Dell.com

Summary:

I got this camera free with a dell computer over 5 years ago now (6-23-07). I use still as a Web camera.

As a digital Camera I used it primarily while on bicycle rides. It captured quick decent pictures for sharing on the web. Nothing really worth printing though. But I never had to worry if I dropped it from the bicycle while moving.

Now either the something is wrong with the camera or all (3) the smart media cards I have tried with are no longer working. Smart media is a very poor format, so likely the memory cards are the problem and not worth trying to find new smart media cards.

Still works as a web camera, so that is where it will stay from now on.

Strengths:

point and shoot. Quick to take pictures. great web cam, weak digital camera

Weaknesses:

uses Smart Media memory cards. No way to view pictures until they are loaded on computer.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $59.00 from Ebay

Summary:

I normally check reviews of products I buy before I buy but this time I didn't as it was in a aution and time was up. I was disapointed to read the reviews about the Logitech 310 and was worried that the 510 would be similar. I recieved the camera and loaded the software without a hitch and took a couple of pictures. With proper lighting, they came out pretty good. I was relieved. Of course, you have to remember the price. Make sure you go into the settings and set them for low light correction. Makes a big differance.

Strengths:

Easy to use. Worked good as a Web Cam. Clear picture etc. Good software.

Weaknesses:

Need good lighting. No LCD display. (Remember the price).

Customer Service:

Haven't needed yet.
