$2000.00 Summary: I've been using R8 for five years now and had nothing to complain about. Finally, after looking through lots of reviews, I changed to R9. To be honest, I cannot say which one is better. Just that in my condition, R9 suits me better. First, 100g lighters does make a lot of difference, especially after R9 moved the weight to the lower part of the camera. Also, the back light for the LCD helps a lot under low light photography. As for the function lock, I found it rather annoying, having to change my grip every time I need to switch to a differet mode. Over all, R9 is just simply great and easy to use. The fullness of the grip and balanced weight of the body makes photographing comfortable and interesting. Strengths: Lighter weight than R8, back light LCD, additional screen showing film number. Weaknesses: Weird function lock position Similar Products Used: R8, Canon 1D, Contax G2(Range Finder...)
