Weaknesses:

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $100.00 from Ritz auction on Ebay

Summary:

This camera has been a wonderfully solid piece of equipment. It is extremely reliable and takes clear, crisp photos. It was my entry level camera which I used to learn on and it was a fantastic tool to get started with.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $250.00 from Ritz

Summary:

Have had the camera for about 4 years now and not a thing swrong with it. The 35-70 zoom lens it came with has more to be desired though. Good weight and feel to the camera. Takes nice pictures for an entry level camera.

Strengths:

Good shutter speed range. Solid Construction. Takes good photos. Split screen focusing screen.

Weaknesses:

No options for "bolt ons."

Price Paid:  $100.00 from E-BAY

Summary:

I have many cameras but for some reason I always pick up the Ricoh Superll,, I like the way it handles, light weight, good photos and looks great,Black. I am going to buy another one from Ritz camera, I believe they are the only ones to sell them''''''Made in Japan and Japan cameras are good.. China is taking over camera MFG.

Strengths:

Took many photos and has everything I need on a manual camera, I only buy or own manuel cameras and have a collection of them I believe manual cameras will be phased out in time

Weaknesses:

None

Similar Products Used:

No need

Review 5 of 5

Price Paid:  $200.00 from Wiz

Summary:

Back in 1997 I needed a simple manual SLR camera to make more sensible pictures that come out of $40 P&S that I had before. It is nice camera for beginners who want to learn photography - nicely built and simple. Unfortunately, Ricoh doesn''t make analog SLRs any more :-(

Strengths:

All manual - no batteries needed (except for exposure meter, but I hadn''t had to change it in 5 years). B-2000 shutter range Mirror lock up with self-timer Well-built K-mount (very cheap lenses available)

Weaknesses:

No DOF preivew button No multiple exposure No motor drive capability

Similar Products Used:

Ricoh XR1 Nikon N8008

Customer Service:

Not needed
