Review 1 of 16

Price Paid:  $289.00 from Gift

Summary:

Nothing but problems with this camera. I thought it was me. I tried all kinds of film to no avail. Truly, I got better results from a disposable camera! Biggest problem is light handling and focus.(Somewhat important I think) Lucky to get 1 or 2 good shot out of a roll.

Strengths:

Intuitive control. Well balanced and ergonomically designed.

Weaknesses:

Red eye in low light.Subjects wash out whenever there is a lot of contrast in the picture. Focus problems galore ( I read the manual over and over. I thought it was me...nope) Battery door pops open. Eats batteries way too fast. Flash is way too slow.

Similar Products Used:

None happily

Customer Service:

I should have called em a long time ago. I guess I was hoping it was me and not the camera.

Review 2 of 16

Price Paid:  $179.00 from ebay

Summary:

this is my first camera before I moved to SLR. I used it for shooting slides, and all came out nice, sharp, and correct exposures. I like the style, but it''s too bulky for P&S.

Strengths:

Lens quality, built quality, nice meter, stylish. I''m all satisfied with this camera and this camera make me be a loyal Minolta customer.

Weaknesses:

Bulky

Review 3 of 16

Price Paid:  $270.00

Summary:

I have been eading other comments re this camera and fine that most of the problems may stem from the person taking the pictures. The only out of focus pics I've ever had have been my fault. You need a faster speed film to take advantage of the zoom due to small aperture at zoom end. Love this camera. I've had other Minoltas and never had problems with any of them.

Strengths:

sharp lens, good range zoom, Minolta quality

Weaknesses:

none for me

Similar Products Used:

None

Customer Service:

Haven't needed any.

Review 5 of 16

Price Paid:  $200.00

Summary:

I just completed a six week solo bicycle tour of Israel, the minolta held up through all the bouncing around and the weather. Always worked when I needed it. Shot 7 rolls of flim through this camera and only blew two frames(blurred)I moved while shooting.

Strengths:

Excellent photo quality for the money. easy control buttons, fast forward for rapid shots.

Weaknesses:

It is a bit bulky, when full extension on zoom hard to hold.
