Review 1 of 11

Summary:

This is my first P/S but did buy and returned an Olympus Stylus something. I also toyed with Minoltas and Canons. I liked the mechanical sound, which is somewhat sweet compared to other P/S. Construction is nice and held up to some abuse. It was dropped once 5 feet to the floor. The lens was in retracked position. Nothing was broken and is still working todate. The camera is more than 3 years old.

It has seen a lot of actions and travelled with me to many places during a period when I did not feel like using an SLR. However, all that was changed about a month ago when I did a major upgrade of my SLR system. Now, I am using my SLR and not much the P/S. I think this will change in time when I am tired of carrying all the gear.

Strengths:

Compact size
Felt sturdy
Zoom range
Flash is fixed in position

Weaknesses:

Weak flash - not really a weakness in this class of camera

Similar Products Used:

None

Review 2 of 11

Price Paid:  $90.00 from Focuscamera

Summary:

Great camera for the price if you get to use it more than 3 months. The optical quality is A-1 but after 3 months of normal use the camera got stuck in panorama mode and the zoom started making some strange noises and eventually got stuck. Unfortunately I bought it as a refurb. which has a 90 day warranty that already expired. I would recommend another camera, especially if you want something light and small. All this is dissapointing since I really like Nikon cameras.

Strengths:

Excellent picture quality.

Weaknesses:

Bulky, Heavy, Low reliability, Not a good night shooter.

Similar Products Used:

Nikon 800, Konica zup series.

Customer Service:

Did not use
