Review 1 of 8
, from San Antonio, Tx USA

Price Paid:  $150.00 from B & H Photo

Summary:when i first used this camera some of my pics were out of focus. after a few rolls i started to understand my camera and now all of my pics are wonderfull. recommend fuji 400. i usually put mine on fill flash no matter the situation.

Strengths:perfect pocket camera not too heavy and the picture quality is outstanding. vario-apogon lens makes all the difference captions and date stamp are nice too

Weaknesses:viewfinder is too small there seems to be a little lag between the shutter release button and the shutter and may cause blurry pics when camera is on automatic

Similar Products Used:canon 38-60 canon 35-70

Customer Service:never needed

Review 2 of 8

Price Paid:  $180.00

Summary:Not very impressed I'm afraid.. The picture quality can be quite good, but in demanding light (eg mountain landscapes) photos have a washed out look and indoor flash has a lot of red-eye and washed out faces. I perservered ( I hate wasting money) but I've now bought a Leica C3 which is in a different league (but much more expensive). I'm surprised by some of the positive comments above, maybe I got a duff one??

Strengths:Small size Good mechanically OK for snapshots (but no more)

Weaknesses:Budget lens can't cope with demanding light Bad lens flare shooting into the sun Buttons are fiddly (require fingernails)

Similar Products Used:Olympus Mju (stylus) 140 (much better performance both inside and out) Olympus AZ230 (Much better and 10years old) Lieca C3 (a different league)

Customer Service:No experience of this

Review 3 of 8
, from Hong Kong

Price Paid:  $160.00 from Man Shing, HK

Summary:I''ve already own an EOS system with EOS 1V and 8 lenses, but cann''t carry heavy gear for everytime, So I choose Rollei Prego 70 for daily photohraphy. It''s lens is sharp, although my Contax T3 maybe sharper, but the difference is minor. This camera is a killer under bright sunlight and the lens produce a different, "Lovely" tone compare with T3. The contrast and colour reproduction is very good for this kind of zoom P&S. The film advance speed after every shot is faster than T3. The only thing I don''t like is the viewfinder.

Strengths:Good image quality Zoom start from 35mm Fast wind speed Metal body

Weaknesses:The viewfinder is just a "Flat plastic window", it does not make a "Cup" or "Hole" shape like Mju:II or T3, so it''s hard to get my eyes into a correct position...and for those who wear glasses, it''s difficult to see through. The apture is relativly small(4.5-8.5), but every zoom P&S''s aperture will not be large!

Similar Products Used:Contax T3 Olympus Mju:II

Customer Service:Not tried yet.

Review 4 of 8
, from Bournemouth, England

Summary:Thumbs up!

Strengths:Superb lens! Landscape shots on Lofoten Islands, North Norway came out extremely clear and detail is incredible; panoramic mode came into its own in this rugged terrain. Genuine colours thanks to Fujichrome Sensia 200 slide film. Camera is great value for money (£84 GBP via Internet /stockist in Tottenham Court Road, London), light, very compact and user-friendly.

Weaknesses:Nothing major to moan about.

Similar Products Used:None

Customer Service:N/A so far

Review 5 of 8
, from Huizen, The Netherlands

Price Paid:  $140.00 from Local foto store van Ophem

Summary:Good camera! Don't break it and you have a great time.

Strengths:Lens is very good. Low distortion, bright colors.

Weaknesses:Red eye reduction
LCD went blank after 4 weeks. Probably a shortage somewhere. When we pushed beside the LCD, it went back on again.

Similar Products Used:None

Customer Service:Very bad (in the Netherlands) Reinka import "fixed" the camera in 4 weeks, but the guy who fixed it left his thumb print IN the camera.

After this we had to send it back again for 4 weeks to clean the viewer.
