The S3 2000 is a nostalgic recreation of the original S3 rangefinder, first produced by Nikon in 1958. Faithfully invoking the spirit of its ancestor, it is as close a copy as can be created today. Then and now, it has no meter and the baseplate removes when loading and unloading film. It takes lenses with the Nikon rangefinder mount(which also means you can use Contax rangefinder lenses with the S3).
