from The Camera Store Summary:The Voigtlander Bessa R2 is a Japanese made bayonet M camera. It was made by Cosina in the early 2000's and is part of a large family of Voigtlander cameras, lenses and other gadgets made by the same manufacturer. The camera accepts all Leica M mount lenses, it is fully manual and uses two V76Px, 1.5 V batteries for the TTL metering. In other words, you can still use the camera without batteries given that you have other means to measure the ambiant light. There is a control where you manually set the corresponding viewfinder frame for the lens you are using: 75 mm; 35 and 90 mm; and 50 mm. Strengths:Solid, well made camera
Wide range of lenses, Leica, Voigtlander, Carl Zeiss, Jupiter
No need of batteries
Small when compared with film or digital SLRs
Easy to focus
Accurate rangefinder
Weaknesses:None that I can think of. Similar Products Used:Mamiya 6
