$47.00 Summary: I've used a number of papers over the years, some for silver gelatin prints, and some primarily for use in hand-coloring. Oriental Seagull graded fiber became my preference for straight black/white prints but became unavailable several years ago (now it's back). As a substitute I tried several others and found the graded Forte quite satisfactory. After beginning to hand-color I can say that none of the others compare to the semi-matte for that use. The glossy fiber is excellent but doesn't have quite the contrast of the Oriental. The price given above is for 50 sheets of 11"x14", and is pretty much the same as most other papers except the "new" Oriental which is more expensive. Strengths: Very forgiving in the darkroom with considerable latitude in type of developer, times, etc. Semi-matte surface is one of the best for hand-coloring. Weaknesses: Occasional particles of "trash" are found in the boxes. Similar Products Used: Kodak, Luminos, Agfa, Oriental Seagull Customer Service: Haven't used
