Review 3 of 3
Summary: My parents the semi-retired pros and I use this paper for nearly everything, and have for many years. We've gone through *many thousands* of sheets of Flexicon, and it's great stuff, entirely comparable to more expensive papers.
Absolutely worth trying! Strengths: Excellent tonality - very white base and very dark blacks, with nice graytones between.
Nice glossy surface on the Glossy variety. I also like the Pearl and the Semi-Matte surfaces in Double-weight.
Very responsive to changes in filters and exposures. The image really "pops" when you hit it right.
Priced notably lower than comparable Kodak, Ilford, Agfa, etc., VC RC papers. Weaknesses: None. Similar Products Used: Kodak Polycontrast - every version from its introduction until now. Customer Service: Great. Call their office in Yonkers, NY and ask for Bart!
