from Warehouse express Summary: The difference this made to the display is incredible and allowed prints to be almost identical to the view on the monitor, which has saved me a fortune in ink and paper.
The thing I like about the eye one is its simplicity in installation and use. The install on XP was trouble free and the setup for the first attempt took a while but was basically easy. You just follow the instructions on the screen.
The reason I bought the eye one over the Spyder is that the eye one can be positioned anywhere on the screen and the software finds it so positions the colour blocks underneath where it needs to be allowing the full instructions and buttons to be easily found. The Spyder seemed to need to be reasonably central in the demo I saw.
Its ability to measure the ambient light allows the monitor to be customised for day and night use if you need to be that accurate.
The eye one was more expensive but the ease of use far outweighs the extra cost which was about £50 UK.
My one criticism of the system is that the plastic cap for measuring ambient light is sometimes difficult to undo. Strengths: Ease of installation
Ease of use
Head is found on the screen regardless of the position allowing all the instructions and buttons to be seen clearly
Reminder set to weekly or monthly for recallibration
Ambient light measurement (colour and intensity)
Probably saved its cost in wasted Ink and paper in the last 2 years
Weaknesses: Plastic cap used for measuring ambient light is difficult to remove. Similar Products Used: Tried the Spyder but not as easy to use as the Eye One. Customer Service: Never needed to call them yet.
