Has a clear LCD picture, a good view even through the view finder (when it functions)

It got faulty three times, everytime a different problem. Faults: recording head, ccd unit, LCD colour screen and view finder screen goes in lines. Also, screen tends to unexpectedly show "TAPE" as if there is no tape inserted, when actually there is and you have to remove and re-insert the battery everytime it happens.

The backlight compensation [BLC] button can be easily pressed unintentionally, when you try to fade-out, giving a reduced picture clarity during recording.

It has an eye-catching estetic shape, quite handy and records a clear picture, a bit grainy in low lighted environment, but can be aided with built-in lamp. the hand-strap is ergonomically designed.

I have used about 2 - 3 times yearly for the last 4 years. But I won't purchase another Samsung product.

Was ok and very understanding. I had to pay about $150, a reduced price for repairs though.

Had the camera for 3 years. Only used it about 2 - 3 times a year. This year it just quit working. It would only show scrambled lines and I think it recorded sound.
