Absolutely essential for digital photography. Uploads about 150 photos from a 32MB flash card in a matter of seconds. The problem with the parallel port model is that my HP PSC 500 won't work with the pass-through. I can upload photos, but must shut down, hook up the printer and restart my system. A minor annoyance. I should have bought the USB model.

Quick transfer of photos from camera to computer. Easy to use, just plug in flash card and copy over to computer.

Be careful if you have a HP printer. I may not like the pass-through.

Not much larger than the end of a extension cord but down loads compact flash cards in (no pun intended) a flash. Just after you insert your memory card you hear a beep and its downloaded. There is no time for a problem to occur. Connection and program are as simple as can be and wating for down loads are a thing of the past.
