Review 1 of 16

Price Paid:  $55.00 from Online

Summary:

This reader is very fast and reliable. Plug-in a card I have used 8 meg cards all the way to IBM 1G microdrives and it works perfectly. Much faster than those 6-1's and 8-1's that I have tried. BUT their latest drivers can be found only at this site address: http://www.ziocorp.com/support/downloads.html I believe the company was purchased by Zio Corp.

Strengths:

Very Fast

Weaknesses:

None that I have found.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

Great product, but if you use XP and lose the drivers you are toast! get the drivers using a p2p application or go here and get shareazza: http://www.shareaza.com

Review 4 of 16

Price Paid:  $40.00 from San Jose Camera

Summary:

Drivers for Microtech products are now supplied by SCM Microsystems, the company that bought Microtech International in July of 2000. They are available at a support site at http://scmmicro.custhelp.com/. It took a call to SCM Microsystems in Fremont, CA to find this support site!

Strengths:

Fast transfer rates.

Weaknesses:

Lack of up-to-date support information with the product.

Similar Products Used:

More recent Dazzle products are available that provide Plug and Play compatibility with Windows XP.

Customer Service:

Poorly linked back to Microtech International products like the USB CameraMate.

Review 5 of 16

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

Recently I upgraded to MAS OS X+. All upgrades, so far, are readily available, except for MicroTech CameraMate – apparently company is out of business!? As a curtest, they at least could of left the site with all needed drivers – since I know that they had updated their product/driver recently – I feel cheated…
