Summary:

Transcend 4GB Industrial Memory card Review

-Super fast write speed
-Worked perfect with over 7000 images taken
-Very Durable
-Easy to install, quick changes.
-Great price

My photography takes me to Hot, Humid, Cold, Arid and downright dirty places. More times than not the vehicle I use to get to these places is my bicycle. Bicycling is an easy way to cover a lot of terrain in a short amount of time but it’s also hard on your gear. Many times I will get caught in storms or end up tramping through mud. My equipment is constantly dealing with moisture from water, sweat and from changing temps. The bottom line is that my equipment needs to be durable and be able to adapt to the rapidly changing conditions that I shoot in.

Many times I’m out on the trail or the river for multiple days without the ability to download photos to my PC. The Transcend 4gb memory card allows me to take over 200 RAW files on my EOS 1D Mk11 camera body.

Not having to change cards is a huge benefit on trips where small items such as memory cards get lost. It actually relieves stress knowing that I don’t have 5 memory cards floating around in my gear bag. Even though I’ve yet to lose a card I have misplaced them for a spell.

Reliability is probably the biggest issue when getting ready to spend over $200.00 on memory. This may seem like a ton of money to some, but think of the advantages. This card is very durable, it also has a fast transfer rate, and a 2 year warranty.

I’ve left my card in my car while riding without my camera bag and the temps peaked over 140 degreesF. It’s amazing how hot the inside of your car can get when the outside temps are over 100 degreesF. When I went to pick up my camera it was gotten very warm to the touch. That was four months and 5000 images ago. The card and all my gear are working perfect!

If you are only going to have one card for shooting in all conditions than the Transcend Industrial Card is for you. It will not let you down!

Customer Service:

I called the customer service department about an 8GB 120x card I was using and they were very helpful. I was actually able to talk with one of the engineers about the product. He took the time to answer all my questions.
