Model Reviewed: Scanner 620T Series Summary: An Excellent scanner, both flatbed and transparency. The software included is basic (Kai"s Soap and Photo Express by Ulead) I have mine hooked in to Adobe PhotoShop. Takes up more room then a regular scanner (think of the scanners from about 5 years ago- that's the size). The included templates are great, it's almost inpossible to make things crooked. I don't like the Acer interface to do the previewing that came with the driver. Also an on/off switch which many scanners seem to be lacking. Strengths: *This scanner is actually a transparency scanner (up to 5x7) that has a removable cover over the trans. to make it a flatbed *scans up to 3600 dpi *I only paid 99 dollars *USB *Has templates to scan transparencies (up to 5x7), 35mm negatives, and slides
Weaknesses: *Plastic cover is finicky about going back on *about five inches tall, takes up space
Similar Products Used: I looked for almost a year before buying a transparency scanner (I shoot 120 film) and I just could not rationalize spen Customer Service: I purchased a two year service plan from the store (best buy) that if anything does wrong with it they will replace it.
