from Kodak Summary: It could be faster. Don't know if it could be quieter with all the mechanical things going on. I didn't see a way to put all the data from the tape strip into a file.
If you know PCs and have a CD burner, buy it, you'll like it. Strengths: Simple to install Easy to use. Great way to put pictures on CD if you have a CD burner. Weaknesses: Slow. It takes a long time to scan a full roll of film (24exp).
The film roll itself can be damaged if care isn't used pushing in the tab if not in far enough for the scanner to read as used. Similar Products Used: I have a Mikrotec (sp?) for 35mm film. It is a three pass scanner for color so no comparison. Customer Service: So far, no problems. (I've had it about 6 months or more.
