Review 1 of 16

Price Paid:  $50.00 from ShareWare

Summary:

I use T+ since 4 years in different upgrade versions, actually the USA-Version 6 to manage my Photograph Database. T+ ist a very powerful tool and has all facilities for every day use. Storage, archiving, maging, searching, sorting for about 70.000 Media files. Keywords, Annotations, user fields are helpful for this purpose. Very useful are virtual galleries with pointers to the real files not depending on the physical place and space of the file. Each file may have 1, 2 or more pointers. The Galleries allows a vertical structure, for example "locations/Germany/Bavaria/Munich/Octoberfest". i find every file within a few seconds. there is also a lot of Photographic enhancement tools like sharpening, Filters, contrast and colour changing, skripting and batch processing. you can generate slide shows, web galleries. There are also some options for viewing, for example a loupe fu ction for picture parts.

Strengths:

complex archiving an databe tools read, convert and write nearly all file formats lot of phtographic enhancement tools skripting and batch processing color slideshows and web-galleries

Weaknesses:

none

Similar Products Used:

ACDSee and Irfanview. Both are useful tools for beginners

Customer Service:

very good, discussion forum on www.cerou.com or www.thumbsplus.de. each question is answered in maximal 2 Days

Review 3 of 16

Price Paid:  $75.00 from Cerious Web Site

Summary:

What used to take me two weeks now takes two minutes. LOVE the batch process. With the registered version you can do batch text stamps and resize all. The web feature generates the thumbnails for online use, and allows you to put in the source for the image folders online.

Strengths:

Batch process and web wizard.

Weaknesses:

Help files haven't answered all of my questions. A user manual would be nice. I also thought it was a little too pricey.

Similar Products Used:

None. I sought out the best and found it.

Customer Service:

N/A

Review 4 of 16

Summary:

I've been trying a number of packages to manage digital photographs, and I keep going back to ThumbsPlus. Easy to install and not only good for managing thumbnails, but excellent for batch size/color modification and transformation of file types. The slide show feature is pretty good also. I'm getting close to licensing my shareware version. Its good.

Strengths:

Easy install, intuitive interface, transform graphics between lots of file types, modify size, color depth and resolution.

Weaknesses:

Slide show only allows forward movement.
