Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

I inserted some professionally designed graphics for a story I wrote into this program, to add color. The program ate my graphics, including those I hadn't inserted. Now I can no longer use these, or any of my photographs or clip art in my own stories.

Review 2 of 3

Summary:

It is hard to be sure, after having used Corel Draw for years (since v. 3), but this seems really easy to use. It does not have many of the features of Photo-Paint (part of Draw). However, it is a carefully selected subset which will satisfy the casual user like 95% of the time. A fair tradeoff for being easier to approach, learn, use. Well thought out, and eminently useful for all but the professional or exceptionally demanding user.

Review 3 of 3

Summary:

I've used several photo programs. Using Corel's Photo House was not difficult. I liked the fact that I could sharpen, change the brightness, do some fancy cloning and painting all using this inexpensive program. It also has some fun features like curling the edges, smuding the image and changing the colours. It has easy to use tabs like in a file box to help you navigate the program. It was a good introduction for me and it whetted my appitite. I now use Corel's Photo-Paint 8. It's able to do SO much more that I wanted to try. But, for beginners or someone that doesn't want to delve into the "extra-artsy" stuff, I recommend Corel's Photo House.
