Summary:

Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 (EMC7) is an outstanding product. It installed without a problem, it was easy to learn how to use, and provides a breadth of capabilities all under one integrated suite of products. The Home Page offers various ways to use the product: 1. Task List: Music, Data, Photo, Video, DVD 2. Components (Applications): Disc Copier, Creator Classic, PhotoSuite, DVD Builder, VideoWave, Drag-to-Disc, Napster 3. Core Tools: Media Manager, Capture, StoryBoard, Label Creator, Sound Editor, Help Center & Tutorials, Extras and Utilities 4. Recent Projects: shows thumbnails and lists your recent projects The process of creating and editing projects works smoothly and the final project results are very satisfying. I had no problems creating VCDs or DVDs. I recommend this product to all.

Strengths:

Delivers tremendous functionality and value for the price. Easy to learn and use product. Can produce great video and slideshow projects and burn to disc.

Weaknesses:

I'm still very much from the paper generation and would have appreciated a printed manual. The PDF user manuals/guides were good, but I ended up printing some of them out.

Similar Products Used:

I tried Nero at a friend's house and it was clunkier to use, didn't have the tight integration and features as EMC7, plus it locked up on me a few times?

Customer Service:

Very good. They provide many materials to make you self sufficient, such as how-to video tutorials, and PDF product user manuals/guides. The Roxio web site has a good knowledgebase that helps you find answers, and if you are still needing help, I found their tech support email response pretty good, as they sent answers to my questions usually in 1-2 days.
