Strengths: Can create panoramas from video files. Hence no need to carry 2 cameras about.Weaknesses: No photo editing tools for the end result.
Not a problem I guess as most people have already got this stuff if they are into digital imaging.Bottom Line: Tried this with my holiday videos to create panoramic views from the ski slopes.
Produced excellant results. Didn't need a tripod or even a particulary steady hand.
Ran the AVIs through SnapDV.
Popped then into Paintshop pro for a bit of tarting up.
Got terrific panoramic images.
Results as good as their examples are easy to produce. Actually mine looked better.

Strengths: Nothing else like it!
Easy to use once you know what type of video file is needed (avi, full frame, no compression).
PriceBottom Line: Does exactly what it says! Without the hassle of photo stitching snapDV has allowed me to produce stunning panoramas, which I have printed (Epson 915 on roll paper).
Once the panorama has been created there is a useful trim box to clean things up before saving the jpeg output.
Easy to use with a couple of different settings should they be needed, but generally one click to get good results.

Similar Products Used: Photo stitching (cool 360) - but snapDV uses video
