Auto FX Software AutoEye

I can not geive a product review because I can not get it to work. I have contacted Auto FX on numerous occasions and they have failed to return e-mails and failed to return phone calls. Customer service is just not there. If you ever get any one on the phone, and that is a big if, you will be made promises and smoke will be blown up your back end till you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Then when the next day comes around you get that sinking feeling that you have been taken for a ride again. I have been promised 3 times my stuff was sent, the last time overnight. As of now I still do not have a working product nor replacement cds. Not to mention a new release was let out 2 weeks after purchase. I was promised I would receive the upgrade at no charge. Guess what, I do not have that either, promises not fulfilled. I would love to try this product, just can not get it.

No customer service, do not return phone calls or e-mails. Make promises to send out cd's and they never are sent.

Sometimes it can produce pleasant effects, other times you're better off manipulating your images through normal editing within PS.

It can do a decent enough job with smaller images although most effects can be be achieved with PS (or other image editing app) alone fairly easily for those with "know-how".

THOSE OF YOU WORKING WITH HIGH-RES IMAGES BEWARE!!! THIS PLUGIN IS EXTREMELY SLOW!!! Especially on high-res images! Everything about it is slow! This has got to be absolutely, hands down, THEE SLOWEST PS PLUGIN ON THE PLANET!!! You're better off creating an action to achieve these effects. I've got buku RAM. In fact, my system is pretty much maxed out on RAM and whether you use the standalone application or the ps plugin,it takes FOREVER to start, display, preview, and execute! TERRIBLE!

I had been using 1.0 for a year with very good results. I was anxious to see a new version 2.0 and was not dissapointed. Well worth a Plug-In cost and is one of my top four "most used".

Upgrade 2.0 is a much improved version, interface with PS 7.0 is simple and works well as a stand alone too.

It will not help every image, but that is expected. The time saved with the images it does help, is worth the cost.
