Summary:

I have to say that this product is a massive disappointment. I'm usually very pleased with Adobe products, but this one has a ton of features that lead to nothing. Sure, you can do all these things with it, but what good is that when the end product can't be sent anywhere? I'm not looking for a video effects editor that exports files for the Web. I want to burn the end product onto DVDs or output it to tape. Apparently, Premiere can't do that, but claims it can. It also has a huge flaw in terms of audio. Half the time, it doesn't recognize the audio inputs or record the audio that I processed. It's ridiculously overpriced even if it did work.

Cost and lack of real output options. Audio capability is nearly non-existent.

Summary:

good for beginers

Strengths:

Very user friendly and easy to learn. Good for beginers and nontechnical editors.

Weaknesses:

Lots of bugs that crash the system periodically with corrupted project files that result in hours of lost work.

Summary:

If you want to create your home videos or be the next George Lucas, then i suggest this product. Adobe i think is great for creating really good software for this kind of thing. I have used this software for about 3 years now and each new edition comes out i have been and upgraded, i have 3 firewires, and 3 video camera's. If you are planning to do abit of video edtiting, i suggest you get down to your local retailer and purchase a DV CAMERA, and get a firewire while your there, Firewires are used to transfer DV (Digital Video) from your CAMERA and edit it using this great software. As i say, i have pruchased 3 firewires and 3 DV CAMERA at very high prices for very high quality. But i have been saving for years to purchase these items. Get the Firwire and Video Card (If not got already installed on your mainboard/motherboard). If your not so sure about the software and would like some help editing the software then please contact me at jamie@prudhoe09.freeserve.co.uk and subject ADOBE PREMIER. Anything i will help, i will even edit it for you, just need the videos no charge.

Just the best, and this program is just the best...

Summary:

Fairly easy to use interface, average level of control for refining cuts, trying new things. i like the total package given it is for a pc but i have used better

Strengths:

it runs on a pc, integrates well with 3rd party applications to deliver awesome transitions and effects, great audio editing features.

Weaknesses:

i don't like the lack of freedom with transitions, it really needs a top notch system to run it properly, sometimes its way of working is not as intuitive as i would like.

media 100, final cut pro, i movie, EZ edit.

Customer Service:

the shop i work in retails it so of course the service is excellent.

Price Paid: $1.00 from the wonderful world

Summary:

Premiere is hands down the best video software package in the world. If its simple editing you do, or complex effects, the package is easy to learn, despite everyone barking how complicated it is. the only draw backs are; the machine requirements..(but, if you plan to edit video with your pc, u shouldnt be surprised to know this) and price... i say go pirate this package. to charge thousands is a crime on its own!

ease of use, pure power, reliability, functions, speed.

Weaknesses:

price, system requirements, doesnt capture.
