Strength:

Incredible... I was a little apprehensive after commiting to this purchase but when the camera came in and the first shot was pulled up on the monitor.. I was grinning like an idiot. Fantastic tonal range and ease of operation make this a tool that I will use for years to come.
Want to play with some lighting or try a new set up in the studio but don't want to wait for film processing? Grab the 560 and shoot till you get it right then bang a few frames of film with another body and you have the best of both worlds. Great batch processing with kodak's aquire module for photoshop.
If you are a pro with some digital imaging experience you'll find this camera easier to operate than most pro-sumer and consumer models. Everything works fast from flipping through the images via the LCD panel on the back to just shoving a card in and shooting. Give yourself one or two days of shooting and you'll be up to speed.
This camera was undeniably built by pros for pros.

Weakness:

Long exposures create noise in the images' blue layer but i've heard that a prog called Quantum Mechanic for the Macintosh will take care of the problem.

Send a hard copy manual with the camera Kodak!!!!! I work on the computer all day and use the Library (bathroom) to read up on my equipment. It comes in a well laid out PDF file to view on your screen not on the can!

Spendy... but worth the money. Get a couple of 1 gig Micro Drives and you'll be set up to shoot over 320 images in one session. Kodak and Canon have put together a life changing camera.

Customer Service

Linear-Systems worked with me for over 4 months as I hemmed and hawed over purchasing it. Debbie Meredith is a fantastic person to work with there.

Strength:

1. Incredible image quality
2. Superb color and color balance
3. Self-contained and extremely flexible
4. Results are like 4x5, convenience 35

Weakness:

After several quick-paced shots, the hard drive must be loaded from memory ,and the camera is in non-shoot mode. This can last 15-30 seconds.

Someone else here said this was a life changing camera . . and it is. As a profewssional I have always relied on Sinar view cameras and Hasselblads for most of my studio work (and location). Since I bought this camera (and I paid full price, getting it at the very beginning of its market entry) I have not shot any film for a client. Yes, it's true. We are all amazed with the flexibility, quality, ease and economy of this remarkable camera. I recently did a photo show exhibiting 12 30"x40" posters taken with the 560. They were awesome. If you are up and running with digital imaging, this camera will truly change your life. If you want to make the move now and enter the present (no longer the future, believe me) then this camera will awaken you to new vistas. Will the technology improve? Of course. But meanwhile, this tool will do you well for years to come. Digital is here, now.
