    Strength:

It's a piece of digital photography history..

    Weakness:

Old, slow, cumbersome to work with, less than perfect image quality, etc.

These were Nikon's first digital cameras, costing a small fortune way back in the mid-1990s (..you thought the new D3X was expensive? Think again).

It's a fun camera to play with, but you shouldn't buy one today if you plan to use it for anything serious. Don't let the original price tag fool you. This was cutting edge technology more than a decade ago, but not any more. These cameras typically sell on eBay for around $150-200, or so, and should be considered collector's items these days.
