I bought the Samsung GX10 with Two lenses included for £520 2 yrs ago. The Pentax K10D which is basically the same camera was priced at £700 for the same deal. I used the camera to do photo shoots with my beautiful wife and her friend and the results were really great. The one thing i didn't do was read the manual on the camera. That was a stupid mistake. I realised i could change so many settings to increase the chances of getting a good photograph before downloading them onto the computer. These include Sharpness Contrast and Saturation. The anti camera shake system works well and if you are not sure it helps turn it off and you will have a mass of blurred pictures.
I sometimes shoot in RAW and JPG and the photographs I get are superb. Really superb. Its a great camera to learn from using the histogram etc to get good results. Its a frustrating world the photography world because there are always better cameras out there technically but as with everything they cost £1000's. I feel i got a Pro camera that should have cost a £1000 for £500. The whole camera has 72 seals on the metal body so you can stick your fingers up at rain.
I was going to buy Canon stuff again but I wanted a change. I really like my Samsung Camera and have just grabbed an 80-320 mm lens for it for a £100. Would I swap my Gx10 ? Only for a Canon EOS1 Mk 1V or Nikon D3x.
