Price Paid:  $8.00 from Kaufman Cameras

Summary:

I am very disappointed in this film. I had better results with NPZ 800.

Review 2 of 15

Price Paid:  $8.00

Summary:

Awesome film. It was hard to believe these guys here when they say grain is comparible to 400 ISO but it''''''''s true. You have to see it for yourself!

Strengths:

Nice and tight grain for 800 speed film.

Weaknesses:

I give it only 4 stars out of 5 on Value because it''''''''s expensive. Somewhat high in contrast.

Similar Products Used:

I''''''''ve tried Kodak Royal Gold 1000. Totally unacceptable grain.

Review 3 of 15

Summary:

I used this film for the first time in 120 format for shooting star trails at Mono Lake. The results were excellent. From 10 minute exposures all the way up to 2 hours, every single shot turned out! I was very pleased. I keep this film in stock now.

I used this film for portraiture once just to finish off a roll, and was very surprised at the excellent results! A little green, but that can be adjusted out to satisfactory. The grain was fine, the detail sharp!

I give this film a very high rating and because of it's ease of use, I would recommend it to all beginners and professionals alike.

Strengths:

sharp detail
excellent for night shooting

Weaknesses:

none I've found so far

Similar Products Used:

why even try kodak 800?

Customer Service:

none

Review 4 of 15

Summary:

Best 800 speed film that you can buy.

Strengths:

Great!!!!!! Blows Kodak 800 out of the water!

Weaknesses:

Like all 800 speed films, this one does have some noticeable grain at 8x10. Expensive...but well worth it.

Similar Products Used:

Only other high speed film I use is Ilford Delta 3200 in 120 size.

Review 5 of 15

Summary:

When you need a high-speed color print film, this is the one to carry. I keep a roll in my bag just in case.

Strengths:

Push it to 1600, and it looks great!

Fine grain for a high-speed film.

Neutral color.

Weaknesses:

Pricey.

Similar Products Used:

Not much is similar. Kodak Max, maybe, but that's hardly in the same league.
