from local retail Summary: great. just great. this film has so many advantages.
First of all, you can set the ISO value on your camera anywhere between 100-800 and this film does not care at all. No push-pull required, just plan C41. No matter if 200 Iso in Sunlight or 800 Iso indoors.
The c41 process is a big advantage when you are on the road and you did not bring your gear to develop with ya, so go ahead and have walmart do the work, or even better the local photo developer of you choice/trust Strengths: - extremely flexibel (100-800Iso)
- can be developed anywhere where C41 is offered
- good contrast and f-stop range Weaknesses: - the C41 however can be weak the lab uses old solutions an its not in your hand to do the job. but this is something everybody has to decide on his/her own
- the negatives are not true BW but they have the reddisch colour a colour negative film has. this is not a real weakness, but its a little more difficult to adjust the sharpness on the enlarger in your homelab. but not much. Similar Products Used: - HP5Plus
- Kodak TRI - X Customer Service: dunno, not needed up to now
