from photo (mail-order) s Summary: A well-scannable film with moderate contrast and neutral and natural color rendition. Although probably grainy for 35 mm, RSXII 200 is a good choice for medium format photography.
For its even shadow/highlight balance this film has also been marketed as Aviphot Chrome 200 aerial slide film. Strengths: Tolerates slight overexposure for shadow detail quite well. The moderate maximum density makes this film an ideal choice for scanning on flatbed transparency scanners (Epson 4870). Colors are neutral without bluish cast in shadows.
200 ASA give an additional margin in depth-of-field or shutter speed to avoid mirror slap on medium-format cameras. Weaknesses: Colors may be too subdued in shadows or with an overcast sky.
Because of manufacturer's bankruptcy, stocks are running out... Similar Products Used: Ektachrome 100 HC, Agfachrome RSX 100, Fujichrome Provia 400F
